CC 3820-R RESOLVER TRANSDUCER


GENERAL

The 3820-R Resolver Transducer is used as a position feedback device where absolute measurement is required. Both single and dual resolver versions are available. The dual resolver unit contains a fine resolver which is geared 64:1 to the coarse resolver enabling greatly increased accuracy and resolution. The 3820R contains no electronics! It is a rugged electrical device and should be transformer coupled to the control system to avoid any induced noise via control common. The resolver-to-digital electronics are mounted within the control system enclosure.

APPLICATION

The 3820-R Resolver transducer is designed for use as a positioning feedback device in mill duty environments. Among its features are:
  1. Absolute Measurement - Retains exact position throughout a power shutdown
  2. Long-line Transmission capability - 1000 feet and greater.
  3. Very high degree of noise rejection. Ratio type of signal transmission using a modulated carrier waveform.
The single resolver configuration will support conversion accuracy and resolution to a 12 bit number. The dual resolver configuration will support conversion accuracy and resolution to a 21 bit number.
